Hüsker Dü Burgerweeshuis, Deventer (the Netherlands) 8 Sept 1985 Here are two partial recordings from this gig early in the Euro-tour of the Fall of 1985. Both ultimately derive from FM-broadcasts; 8 songs came to me on a tape of unknown lineage, the other 4 I have taken from my own copy of the vinyl bootleg "Makes No Sense At All". Only one song is repeated over the two sources, I Apologize (which fades in on the cassette). No full setlist is known for this gig (as per the HD database on ThirdAve), but the order of performance was probably like this: (...) The Girl Who Lives On Heaven Hill (V) I Apologize (V + T) If I Told You (T) Folklore (T) Don't Want To Know If You Are Lonely (T) Don't Know For Sure (T) Terms Of Psychic Warfare (T) Powerline (T) Books About UFOs (T) (...) Pink -> Blue (T) Ticket To Ride (T) The vinyl tracks have been carefully cleaned up (using the pentool in SoundForge) and, in preparation of this seed, I discovered that they played back a bit too slow, so I corrected that as well. Those four tracks are quite common, but the 8 track cassette version seems to be rather rare, so maybe this is a valid contribution to the ongoïng Hüsker Dü fest. Enjoy!
