Hummingbird Plea by MC This was a stealth recording - portable stereo recorder in front left pocket of my leather jacket. Very decent sound quality - EQ to your taste. Small venue recorded less than 25 feet from band - often standing in front of the speaker cabinets. Small tape jitters at times due to moshing. :D Original seed dropped 12-31-2006 at the traders den. -for the fans - happy new year Direwolf-pgh ====================================================================================== Additional recording and transfer info supplied by Direwolf-pgh I think some pro tapers will get a kick out of this - especially if they hear the recording first. It was a Sony stereo recorder walkman - long since gone after a nasty drop. it was great for stealth - as you can see the condenser mics are on the top - so in a top front jacket pocket - your ready to go.. Recording device: Sony TCS-450 Tape used: Maxell UD II 90mins Tape deck for transfer: Harmon-Kardon TD302 Soundcard: SoundMax (sorry Five..I didn't upgrade yet ..my bad) CoolEdit:Used Filters & Hiss reduction (read: hack messin around - but it was fun) >saved to wav>flac (level 8) ====================================================================================== My notes: When Direwolf-pgh uploaded this show at the traders den it was in two FLAC files. One file was side one of his Maxell UD II 90 cassette and the other was side two. I decoded the FLAC files to wave using FLAC frontend. Once decoded I used CD Wave to track the show. I then used FLAC frontend (level 8) to encode the tracks to FLAC. I did not alter the recording in any other way! Thanks go out to Direwolf-pgh for recording this show and sharing it!
